  1. win or lose in the finals he's still no.2

  2. No.  Rafa came into Hamburg with a 310 point lead over Nole, and if he loses the final his lead will be 210 points come Monday.  If Rafa wins the final, he will have a 360 point lead over Nole.

  3. Thankfully Nadal will remain  the number two player in the world...and when he ends up winning tomorrow, Federer will lose some of his ranking points, and Nadal will gain a little more room in between himself and Djokovic.  It's still a tight race though, and I believe after the grass court season we could see a lot of rankings change.

  4. Nadal won. No. I don't think so. Djokovic has a long was o go to be #1 and #2.

  6. no, the break point was today, rafa won, so he remains in the 2nd spot.-

al least for this week, hehe.-

if rafa loses tomorrow nothing happens, cause he lost last year in the final too.-

  7. yes he would of because all over the news they were saying that if nadal lost he would be number3 and djokovic was really close to him in points coming into the tournament.

  8. If Nadal loses:  5435(current total pts) - 350(last year Final pts) + 225(Semifinal this year pts) = 5310

Djokovic:   5125(current total pts) -125(last year quarter final pts) + 350(Final this year pts) = 5350

Yes, he will move to number 2 ahead of Nadal. But Nadal have already won the match, so he still #2.

    UPDATES:

-So the question is really if Nadal losses in the FINAL tomorrow? OMG...NOT SEMI-FINAL

If Nadal loses:  5435(current total pts) - 350(last year Final pts) + 350(Final this year pts) = 5435

Djokovic:   5125(current total pts) -125(last year quarter final pts) + 225(SEMI-final this year pts) = 5225

Djokovic won't be number # 2 no matter what is going to happen on Sunday.

  9. Gabriela, right now as of tommorrow should Rafa win he would have 5585 vs. Novak's 5350. If Rafa looses to Roger he would stay at 5435. When the French starts next weekend Rafa drops the 1000 he earned for winning last year taking him to 4435 or 4585 vs. Nole loosing 450 from last year leaves brings him down to 4900. Which means that for 1 or 2 weeks Novak will be #2 and Rafa #3. If Nole looses early so much the better for Rafa otherwise Rafa may need to win again to stay ahead.
