  1. I would go but I would not like to stay forever. I would miss being able to go outside without wearing a suit.

  2. nothing is worth dying for in life. not love, not country, not anything. but if there is one thing that is worth dying for, i suppose, it would be this.

  3. Plant trees everywhere!! LIFE : )

  4. I would firstly plant more trees cause a plant doesn't produce so much oxygen. i guess i would plant fruit trees cause they produce food we cant live without. i would look for aliens.

  5. No way. Forget the nothing to do, no where to go, and freezing temperatures aspect of it. They can't even send a camera out there without s******g up. Why would I allow them to make me into one of their hyped-up, over priced, failed experiments?

  6. i would tell them to check it out themselves and make sure its safe and they could live with out being miserable then i would go~~oh i wouldnt go cause there isnt food~~

  7. I'd request authority and a charter of a Mars colony, and request more people and tools.

  8. would I get cable television?

  9. No way, it'll be all work and no play, u'll go crazy and start talking to urself, humans are social beings, we need to interact with other people and have more than a tree for entertainment.

  10. I would rig the tree to fall on my head and put me out of my misery.

  11. do a job and help people understand mars, even if it led to my death. I'd go down in history.... who could ask for more. we're all going to die sometime.

    I would not play around on mars though. thats when you're sure you'll die for no good reason.

    help them analyze the planet, check up on the broken rovers that are sitting there helpless, prove to everyone this is NOT big foot http://montrealradioguy.files.wordpress....

    dig deep into the ground past the layers of ice,

    oh, I might request sponsorship from taco bell or someone, maybe star bucks and take a picture with me and one of their logos on mars for a cool 2.3 million.

    but most importantly is to make sure I had a ship to get back to earth if needed. I don't know if I'd go without one

  12. I would use the water and the rocks to make me a knife, and cut  the tree and build me a little hut. And if I got hungry I would make me a moon pie, Or I could call it a Mars bar.

  13. u won't believe this but going to mars is my goal. Like, I want to be an astronaut to go to mars. It's freaky, I know, but still...

    I don't really know about a tree in Mars...

  14. I'd go in a jiffy.  I'd build the first farm and restaurant up there.  Nothing fancy at first, depending on how many people are with me.  Then we'd need a watering hole that serves Samuel Adams Utopias - Limited Edition.  Maybe even a disco.

    But first I'd have to build a dynamo with a Superconducting Ring to create a magnetic field which shields out cosmic rays.  Then I'd fill some craters full of water, iron sulfate and phytoplankton to generate Oxygen and CCNs (cloud condensation nuclei) for clouds.  When a dust storm kicks up, I'll have instant clouds!  Then we grow some beans for nitrogen, wait for some lightning, and voila, nitrogen fixation.  I might have to perch a Tesla coil atop a mountain to invite lightning.

    Then I'd fire up the barbeque grill, but it'd have to be a PROPANE grill since water vapor and CO2 are the 2 primary byproducts of combustion.  My trusted Fischer Tropsch Reactor is spewing gallons of propane from the methane that's pumped in from animal and human waste.

    Combustion:

    Butane C4H10 + 6.5 O2 --> 4 CO2 + 5 H2O

    Propane C3H8 + 5 O2 --> 3 CO2 + 4 H2O

    Aerobic Respiration:

    C6H12O6 + oxygen --> 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + ene

    Thank goodness I brought my cow and a collection of frozen embryos (liquid oxygen) of a pig, lamb and goat.  My cow makes a great surrogate mother, bringing every animal to term--at least the 1st generation of farm animals.

    What about man's best friend(s)?  I brought my pets along too, they're busy running around giving off water vapor, CO2 and methane.  The squirrels, hamsters, and weasels think they're hiding nuts, but they often forget where they've hidden them, so I'll have a crop of nut trees in a few years.  Nothing like free labor, we just feed them scrap from the restaurant  and from compost piles.

    What's dinner without dessert?  My oven is churning out fresh baked goodies 24/7.  I had to modify it so that the oven door is open so the oxygen can combine with the methane to make water vapor and CO2.  I'm begging everyone to eat to their heart's content, then run around Mars building living quarters or excercising, or playing sports.  The more active everyone and everything is, the richer and thicker the atmosphere.  Pretty soon it'll be flooding on Mars also.   So please, EAT!!

    What's on the menu?  Lots of Boron-rich foods to prevent bone loss, like beets, cauliflower, raisins, and nuts.  I haven't got the pricing down yet...but it'll be cheap.  MC (mars currency) accepted.

  15. I would not go. It is too far away, takes too long to get there, and looks like a very dull place to live.

    I would really like to take a short trip to the Moon though. 3 day to get there, maybe a coupe days walking around on the surface and then 3 days to come back. That would be an awesome vacation!
