Neo-cons do believe in big government.  They actually believe in the BIGGEST government because neo-cons believe that the state can provide guns and butter (basically combining fascism and communism).  They believe that you can have a welfare state and a warfare state running at the same time.   Neo-conservatism has a lot of similarities to the beliefs of Leon Trotsky.  The actual ideology was thought to be pioneered from Leo Strauss.

Kennedy had enough money from his bootlegger daddy. All the Republican presidents were always members of the Republican party, not converts from the Democratic Party. Since you use the term neo-con incorrectly, I though you might like to know the difference.

good question. Here's another. If Libs believe the rich don't pay nearly enough taxes, why don't they send in the amount they believe the rich should pay at tax time? The libs in government are very wealthy.
