  1. Only if you have told your insurance company that there was a anti theft device fitted

  2. nope. as long as the premiums are paid on time, and the insurance has not been canceled, and if your insurance covers it, if your car is stolen, the insurance company has to pay market value to replace the car.

  3. Hi, you are not required to have an anit-theft device for your insurance to be valid.  Many insurance companies will give you a discount if you have one though.

  4. I have met this kind of situation before, here is the place I found useful.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  5. No.

Although the insurance would be invalid if you (for example) had claimed it had an anti theft device such as an imobiliser fitted when you took out the insurance policy when in actual fact it didn't have an imobiliser fitted.

  6. Depends on your insurance. Read your policy. If the policy says lack of an anti-theft device invalidates it, then it invalidates it. Most policies are not that specific, but a few are. Check it out!

  7. only if you stated on the original application that there was an anti-theft device. Also, you would need to have comprehensive insurance to have any coverage for you to receive payment for the stolen car. If you have liability only, you are out that car.

  8. Nope unless you have told them that an alarm was fitted..Regards

  9. no you will be fine. if there was one fitted originally, they may query it with you but it wont cause you any problems

  10. No. The insurance is still valid even if you left the doors unlocked and the windows down.

  11. if your vehicle is a 2008 model some 2006 where already out fitted in Canada then is law for the manufacturer to provide anti-theft devices and yes your insurance is not valid if your vehicle is a 2008 or newer and does not have an anti theft device fitted. Some people that install remote starters on their vehicles by pass the anti theft device and will void their warranty, unless is install by someone who is approved by the dealership. As they know what to do so the vehicle remains theft free. SO good luck and keep in mind that is best to spend a bit more for the right stuff than less for something that can cost you more latter.
