If obama starts the universal health care won't we pay like double or triple in taxes to pay for it.?

i was reading that in canada they pay 35 to 40%, at least, in taxes to pay for their universal health care. It was a book about canada, not a political book or anything. I can't afford health insurance so universal health care sounds good but if i can't afford it now i don't want to be forced to pay for it later through much higher taxes.

can someone please explain why we wouldn't pay 2 or 3 times more in taxes if we have universal health care? or if we get it are we just boned?

That's the point. "Government" funded health care is simply the government upping our already outrageous taxes to where we couldn't afford our own health care if we wanted to so we are basically going to be FORCED to use what "they" fund. We're all royally f*cked in a system like that...

Of course, he portrays it as he will just raise the taxes of those "evil" rich, but in actuality, we're all going to suffer...

I heard on FOX News that we would have to pay 15,000 dollars per year in taxes for Universal Care.

I also heard that, if elected, Obama would change the U.S flag to a simple black rectangle with gold fringe.  Isn't that awful?

If I paid double my taxes and didn't have to pay for medical insurance, I'd be ahead of the game.

It's better than paying double or triple for gasoline!!!  At least people would be able to get medical treatment when they need it!!!  Sheesh!!

Well yopu tell me... pay 100k for an operation or pay taxes which are mayybe 600 dollars more... and not pay anything for operation... im from canada and i had an operation for kidney... it was free.. so yeah im glad we have it

Well, basically the middle and upper class will pay everyone's medical bills.  So the people on welfare can keep on wearing the new sneakers and talking on the latest cell phones while buying candy bars on the 1st of the month with their elec. food stamp cards.
