  3. Yes. But we are drinking our own p**p (and a lot of other stuff), too.  In a city, sewage gets treated and then dumped into a river.  We then pull that water out, treat it some more, and send it to our home pipes to drink.  In the country, we flush p**p into our septic systems which then leach into the ground or streams. And we uptake the water from wells in the ground fed by ground water that is charged by surface water.  A friend once had a t-shirt that said "Everyone lives down stream."  So true!

  4. Fish absorb water through their skin by osmosis, so their skin acts as a natural filter for anything larger than molecules.

  5. Yes, in small amounts.  The oceans are very large and the amount of waste is very small in comparison to the total volume of the oceans.
