If older people are ornery now, do you think they have always been that way?

I roll with the flow and usually don't let things bother me, but sometimes my Grandpa is so mean that I can't handle it. If he hits me again, I might just let him have one.

He probably always has been.

About the hitting, if you're a teenager or younger, and he hits you so that you're really physically hurt and especially not as discipline, then of course- he's abusing you and you have a right to do something about it. If you're older than a teenager, then that's definitely abuse.
