I am wondering I can't find it on the internet anywhere. I know that it is hard to melt aluminum, but how do you do this. If we all can figure this out, WE CAN SAVE OUR ENVIORNMENT, OUR COUNTRY, AND THE WORLD!

Do you melt it down

Do you stick the plug to your t.v in the can lol

  1. I don't know that there's any way to extract enough energy from an aluminum can to run a tv for three hours. Perhaps they were referring to the energy it takes to MAKE an aluminum can. It's not all that hard to melt aluminum since it has a relatively low melting temperature. The only way you'd extract any useful energy from one single can would be a direct conversion into energy via nuclear fusion and I don't think we can do that with a large atom like aluminum. Even fusing hydrogen takes the energy of at least three nuclear bombs.

  2. It's not that an aluminium can would literally run the tv for 3 hours. What the statement says is that recycling an aluminium can, rather than making a new one, saves enough power that the difference could run a tv for 3 hours.
