Who takes the effect damage, the attacker or the opponent?

So you don't have to look it up: "When this face-up card on the field attacks or is attacked and it is destroyed as a result of battle, the player who destroyed it takes 1000 points of damage."

  1. If a monster (say monster A) attacks another monster (say monster B) and monster A is destroyed, then the attacker( the guy who used monster A to attack monster B) loses life points (the ammount of lifepoints he loses = attack or defense points of monster B (if monster B is in attack mode then its his attack points or if monster B is in defense mode then its his defense points) minus monster A's attack points.

    Hope that helped!! :)

I'm sure this is right! Its somewhere in the rulebook.

  2. uhhh, you both do, since you guys play with cards.
