  1. It is a MYTH.

  2. wouldnt know, dont drink, but havent heard my father say it does

  3. It's a myth.

Whether you drink the alcohol at once or through a straw you are still getting the same alcohol percentage.

Although drinking it quicker will make you feel more light headed due to large concentrations of alcohol entering the body at once.

  4. If the straw is in a barrell ...!

  5. Urban myth. And why would you want to be more inebriated?

  6. Urban myth unfortunately, otherwise I'd drink through a straw all the time.

  7. yes its true, the straw causes bubbles and the gas in the bubbles carry the alcohol to your brain quicker, also adding lemonade to your drink causes more gas bubbles and aids getting drunk, people tend to think lemonade dilutes the drink and therefore you're less likely to get drunk this is not the case.

  8. Well unless the straw is somehow laced with alcohol (lol) there is no way that I know of that it could possibly be more inebriating. Actually it would probably slow you down and you would take longer to drink and therefore longer to get drunk.

  9. yep

  10. I believe so but have no evidence to back it up. Just self experience. Made my head spin and it was only beer. But alot of it! LOL

  11. The myth isn't alcohol through a straw, the myth is drinking specifically cider through a straw.

Best thing to do is try it, but don't drive afterwards, LOL

They even wrote a song about it, lyrics at this link: http://scoutingaround.com/boy_scouts/sco...

  17. Yes, especially with a drink that has a bit of bubbles in it, the bubbles don't go up the straw just the alcohol and you end up more drunk quicker
