  1. A helium atom with one more neutron than it had originally? It's the protons that affect the properties of the atom, for the most part.

  2. It would be Helium-4 (2p, 2n).

[edit] I yield to Steve on the He-5, as He-4 is the more common (default) isotope.

Radzewicz, you are thinking of Hydrogen; and it's tritium, not triterium.

  3. Its an alpha particle, an unstable radioactive particle. If you ingest it, it is detrimental to your health. They can be fully ionized to make 4-Helium which is actually pretty stable.

  4. helium-5 with a half-life of 7.6×10−22 seconds
