  1. no. one number per team

  2. In the NHL, no number can have a 0 as the first OR only number

The software the league uses allows the use of leading 0's - I use the software every day............and John Davidson and Martin Biron, who both wore 0'ss come up just fine.

  3. No.  Numbers must be unique.

The software the league uses to track stats does not allow them to use numbers like 09.  Or 00 for that matter.

It is also extremely unlikely that a goalie would request a number like 09 or 9.

  4. No, zero is not a number, although I think they let my friend be 00 in his house league one year.  It depends on the league and the level.

  5. NO. Usually the player that has been there the longest gets the number or the other player may buy it from said player.

  6. Since 7 other people already answered your question I figured I would throw in a tidbit that NHL goalies cannot serve as captains or alternate captains.

  7. You must be joking..

    No you **** **** **** **** **** ****** ******

  8. No...only 1 number per team
