It is illeagel to play online poker in the USA so even if you claim the winnings on your taxes you would still be in trouble right???

Claim your winnings as gambling winnings.  You do not need to provide any more detail than that.  You will be in much, much greater trouble if you don't give the tax man his cut.

Plus, as the other response pointed out, playing poker is not illegal at a federal level.  Some states, such as Washington, have different laws, though.
