If our Universe is expanding, what is it expanding into?

Is there anything beyond the point where the Universe is now? If its expanding, what is currently in the place where the Universe will eventually be? Or is there "nothing" there?

Empty space itself expands, so there is nothing for it to expand into.

Plainly, it's expanding into a bigger universe.More Solar Systems are being created, and bigger our world becomes!

Our universe is just a "bubble" among an infinite number of other "bubbles" in a foamy, infinite Multiverse. These other universes are forever closed off from us, there can be an infinite number of physical properties, and an infinite number of possibilities. In turn our universe contains an infinite number of "bubbles" and so on in a neverending series of jumps larger and smaller.

The Universe is all of the things which are out there in an unmeasurable place without shape that we call Space. As far

as we know, space is infinite.

Yes, the Universe is expanding. There is lots of room for the Universe to expand because space is infinite - "unmeasureable" in size.

Scientists with the most sophisticated Radio Telescopes in the world can "detect" objects in deep space at distances of 40 Billion Light Years in all directions from  Earth. Remember, one light year is about 6 Trillion Miles...and we are talking about 40 Billion of those. That is the limit of our Detection apparatus, not the limits of the Universe. There could very well be all kinds of stuff even farther away than that.

The concept of IMMENSE is very difficult for many people to grasp.

As one who seems to want to fight the idea, I recommend that you study Astronomy a lot more before challenging the various ideas and theories relating to the construction of the Universe. One way to get a rapid idea of the hugeness is to visit:

Space is exactly what it means, space! So the laws of physics dictate that if a universe expands, due to the theory of the big bang, then there comes a point in time when the universe will have to contract back to it's original size! and what then? another big bang? so does it all go flying out into the cosmos again creating another matter/time/space continuity. Or does it become the biggest black hole ever! and swallow itself never to exist in this universe again! Makes one think, hey?
