  1. If....had not...would our species have survived.

I would have gone but had no money.

If he had fielded the ball cleanly, the runner would have been out at first.

  2. yes!  look at all the less intelligent species around. they have been here for ages lol.

  3. The process is still ongoing..at the present state, the intelligence

acquired is just enough to end what has survived!

  4. Yes.  Remember -- hominids were around for millions of years before the "cultural revolution" 50,000 years ago.  There were hominids in Africa, Asia, Europe, and even populations on islands.  I'd call that a really successful animal.

  5. It is because of our brains and reasoning powers that we have made it this far. Many diseases and plagues have tried to wipe us out, but thanks to science and very smart men, we have been saved. Now in this day and age we need those smart men to save us again from what we are doing to ourselves.  Maybe we are not so smart after all.

  6. Our ancestors were intelligent beings.  Sure, humans today are much smarter than those of the past, but, like Issac Newton said, that is because we stand on the shoulders of giants.  Imagine if every infant born had to discover everything for themselves, like if they were abandoned in a forest.  They'd be probably of less intelligence than most of our human ancestors.  So really, your question is too far removed from the truth to be even feasible.  Every Australopith, every H0mo, are far more intelligent than a chimp.
