  1. Our bodies are actually between 55% and 78% water, depending on your size, age and s*x. About two thirds of our bodily water is locked up in the cells of our bodies, not free to flow around, which is why we don't spring leaks all the time! The rest is in our various body fluids, such as blood plasma, within organs and in our digestive system. Blood is mostly water (95%), muscle tissue about 75%, bone 22% and fat 15%. It's little wonder then that the human body can't survive long without water intake.

  2. Because our skin is like rubber.
