My condolences to his family.

But it just seemed weird and was meant to be for him. How often do we hear of such things.

  1. if you are talking about, death yes

or at least in that term

I don't believe that we have a preset time though.

  2. absolutely, i saw a picture of a woman who had been caught in some kind of fire, her face had practically melted to a point where there were no facial features, which made me think she was not meant to die yet, it wasn't her time. Some people have very small accidents and are killed and others who have had major accidents and lived. I was once on a dodgy busy roundabout, where someone cut me up and i honestly don't no how it happened without an accident as there was no room for this car to get round me but he did, it was as if his car went through mine.

  3. i don't believe we have a particular day in which we are destined to die, but i believe that a persons error of judgement can bring about death, ie crossing the road and not seeing a car that kind of thing,

  4. Pretty much. We MIGHT be able to Improve the "Odds" alittle by NOT gambling with our Lives any more than we have to... But when "Miss Fortune" calls your # - She hands the dice to someone Else... :)

  5. How awful, for him under all those bottles.

I'd like drift off this mortal realm with as little pain as possible, failing that something that's over in an instant, but I'm not ready yet so the grim reaper's going to have to wait a while longer.

Some say its fate, hmm not sure, I think its more about sychronicity, ie a collection of events leading to an abrupt ending.

  6. There are two things in life that we can't avoid: paying taxes and death.

Coincidences like this happens all the time. In my life, I had a childhood friend who died of a massive heart attack two weeks after speaking to me about life after death and a few spiritual matters he had on his mind. The weird thing is it was after one of our mutual friend's funerals who died of a horse riding accident. I had to speak at both of their funerals.

  7. Laurence of Arabia stormed the desserts on life threatening raids, risking life and limb, only to die in England in a motorbike accident

  8. If you believe that such instances are ' pre-determined ' , then you would have to accept that your life is already mapped out and someone is controlling your destiny.

Without turning this into a 'god ' debate , I think people who think they are not in charge of what happens to them are the same people gnashing their teeth when awful things happen saying "! how did god let this happen"

Equally though I know lots of people who whilst still believing in god think you have complete control over your own destiny.

Poor man though , I don't think any loss is walk in the park for any family , but if the circumstances are grim it must be disturbing to try and not think of the actual event.

  9. My grandfather told me that in the trenches in WW1 with shells and bullets flying around, there was no way of telling who was going to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. His expression was "If your name's on it -it's yours" which I guess id pretty much the same as "If your number's up....:"

In some circumstances I believe your question to be true, but noty always.
