  1. Bush is a great man and McCain will be better. Palin with McCain will make it better. A woman needs to be concerned in a man's life to make things better. Being President is a very hard job and the right people together can improve and make the job better.

  2. people are just dense in the head and think Mccain is nothing like bush but really he is....McCain celebrated his 200th birthday (exaggerating) with george bush during katrina they both usually stay on the same stage giving each other hugs....McCain and Bush are BEST FRIENDS!!!!

  3. And?  So can I judge you based on what your friends do?    McCain has stepped against Bush and the GOP before during the gang of 14 incident.  What is your point unless you believe guilt by association is legit...which then Obama has a lot of explaining to do.

People are voting for McCain because

1)He has opposed Bush and did so before even Democrats did during the first half of the Bush administration

2)He actually has spelled out his plan and it makes sense.

  4. Democrats hate Bush. He's done a heckuva job under some pretty bad circumstances. Thank God he was president on 9/11 instead of Gore, who probably would have used the event to ban Jet Fuel, claiming that an electric plane could never have caused such damage.

  5. I find it interesting that all you McCain supporters are dodging the question.  If you have been against everything "King George" stands for, then why on earth are some of you Bush-haters such revved up McCain supporters? He basically just represents another 4-8 years of eerything the Bush administration has stood for...(PARTICULARLY, THE WAR....)

  6. If there is one fact that the record clearly shows, it is that McCain not only ran against Bush but was very opposed to the Presidents agenda.

I am an old timer and will share my experience with everyone who is being misled by the Democrat spin machine.  You know when they say, McCain votes 90% of the time with Bush?  Well, since the President does not vote on anything, one must assume they mean that bills McCain voted for were later signed by the President. That being the case, consider this.  President Bush vetoed very few bills that ever reached his desk.  So most every Senator voted for bills that the President signed and all have about a 90% record voting "with Bush".  Add to the fact that the preponderance of bills are passed unanimously (things like approving National watermelon day or naming a post office.   Of the truly contentious bills, (such as water boarding or Campaign Finance Reform)  McCain is only in cinq with Bush about 70% of the time.  More than any other Republican and less than some Democrats.

Now, doesn't it anger you that you are being mislead to making the wrong choice for President?  If you are interested in truth, justice and the American Way, it should.

  7. Obama is friends with Pastor Wright and terrorist William Ayres. Or does that not matter?

  8. You have it all wrong.

The issues on which McCain and Bush differ are legion:

    * McCain fought for campaign finance reform — McCain-Feingold — that Bush resisted and ultimately signed because he had no choice.

    * McCain led the battle to restrict interrogation techniques of terror suspects and to ban torture.

    * McCain went with Joe Lieberman on a tough measure to curb climate change, something Bush denies is going on.

    * McCain opposed the Bush tax cuts when they passed.

    * McCain urged the Iraq surge, a posture Bush rejected for years before conceding its wisdom.

    * McCain favors FDA regulation of tobacco and sponsored legislation to that effect, a position all but a handful of Republican senators oppose.

    * McCain’s energy bill, also with Lieberman, is a virtual blueprint for energy independence and development of alternate sources.

    * After the Enron scandal, McCain introduced sweeping reforms in corporate governance and legislation to guarantee pensions and prohibit golden parachutes for executives. Bush opposed McCain’s changes and the watered-down Sarbanes-Oxley bill eventuated.

    * McCain has been harshly critical of congressional overspending, particularly of budgetary earmarks, a position Bush only lately adopted (after the Democrats took over Congress).

Remember that McCain ran against Bush in 2000.

  9. "Friends with Bush?"...Wow what a great political thinker you are.

  10. 1) John McCain and George W. are not friends. They ran against each other in 2000 and were not very kind to each other.

    2) Republicans vote for Republicans. Democrats vote for Democrats.

    Intelligent people vote Libertarian.

    3) They are voting for Palin.

  11. Just because he is a republican. I don't understand for the life of me why these people don't see how the economy is upside down because of Bush. Not only did these crazy people vote him in office twice, but now they have a nerve to back Mr. McBush to add more fuel to the fire. I am just sick of it all. Please tell them to stop complaining about the idiots they choose.

  12. Because the Democrats nominated Obama.

  13. No, they actually don´t like each other.  McCain is really more of an independent.

  14. I just gave you a star for a VERY interesting question--the same one I'm wondering about. All I can see is 4 more years of the same ol', same ol'....business as usual.

  15. Well, "friends" isn't the right word.  McCain saw the value of siding with president Bush during "wartime", that's why he voted with Bush 90% of the time.  Despite what McCain supporters believe now, it's going to be very hard for McCain to distance himself from Bush once the debates start.
