  1. Cause people didn't elvove from apes- DUH!!

  2. Because God said "Let there be apes"

  3. some apes are still evolving...just not to a car driving, cell phone using sort of primate....no really, if an organism can survive by not changing it will stay the same...there is genetic drift of course, but some will re-evolve back to take advantage of something....for instance look at the at those wierd crabs that come up to the shore to mate in Canada (can't remember what they're called) they look a lot like trobolites...but they aren't exactly the same....certainly related....but sometimes the conditions control what characterists are needed and if a change occurs, it is likely that it will change back because of the pressure to survive....so these crabs are a lot like trobolite, but they are not the same creature at all

  4. humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor, which is now extinct.

  5. "In which two or more independent species evolve similar characteristics in different places or at different times—as parallel evolution."

You say, "feel free to ask" Would you enlighten us to what made you ask this question? Thank you.

  6. Usually "Evolution" is a theory. Not a thing to believe if you don't want to believe on it.No one can exactly give the correct answer to your question unless they are a person from the past, the universe is full of mysteries!!!!some solved and some are unsolved.

  7. Why do so many adults (?) seem to think that people evolved from apes. How many times does that question have to be answered, before they understand the facts, or are they just not able to comprehend the answers?

For the love of your God, throw out your bible and read Charles Darwin's "On the Origin of Species".

  8. People didn't evolve from apes.  Apes and humans have a common ancestor which they both branched off from to what they have become today.

  9. Our ancestors branched of from the main group of apes.

But still I don't really believe that we came from apes because there are many reasons why.....

  10. Human has nothing to do with apes !!!

  11. The premise of the question is wrong. Humans did not evolve from modern apes, modern apes and humans share ancestors.  The most recent of those common ancestors would be classified as apes.

Each lineage went its own way. Or, to put it more explicitly, there have been a number of splits in lineage containing apes and humans in the last 15-odd million years (the lineage containing apes and humans split from the lineages leading to monkeys much earlier):

One split separated the lineage leading to today's "lesser apes" (gibbons, etc.) from the lineage leading to today's "Great apes".

One split separated the lineage leading to today's orangutans from the lineage leading to today's African "Great Apes"

Another split separated the lineage leading to today's Gorillas from the lineage leading to today's Chimpanzees and Humans.

Finally, a further split separated the lineage leading to today's Chimpanzees from the lineage leading to today's Humans. (note here that some might add a further split between bonobos ["Pygmy Chimpanzees") and humans).

Hominids were apes adapted to living in open savanna or broken woodlands, as opposed to all other apes, which live in forest/jungle.

As a result, hominids adaptations include:

    Bipedal locomotion

Relatively larger teeth, with thicker enamel, allowing them to eat the harder foods in the open environment.

One group of hominids, started scavenging meat, and using tools to a greater extent than the others, and this is the group that led to humans

A final observation: Our problem here is our lack of objectivity when we look at ourselves. An Extra-Terrestrial Zoologist would say that all those above are apes.

  12. Horses did not evolve from zebras or vice versa and the same for humans and apes. The key word here is common ancestor

  13. This is a misunderstood conception.  Even if it is true humans evolved from a primitive life form to humans today.  Their not extinct because their humans we see today.  (STAY AWAY FROM THE EVOLUTION THEORY IT CORRUPTS THE MIND)
