let me start off by saying Hydrogen is a great option for the concept of free energy.     I built my first hydrogen cell about 5 years ago. Have converted over 50 vehicles in the last 10 years (gydrogen and EV) and now currently run 2 trucks (and another EV), my home hot water heater, home stove and home generator on hydrogen for free with caught rain water and the help of a $10 solar panel.  I offer a step by step DIY guide to walk anyone interested threw the process. There are basically 3 safe ways to make and use it... chemically, electrically and molecularly, the first 2 being easier so I'll only discuss them here. The fallowing steps were taking directly out of a DIY guide I offer to those who would like to run their vehicles or home on hydrogen safely. The entire guide is available at www agua-luna com

    On demand h2 generators are a bit different from the Hollywood versions like seen Chain Reaction with Keanu Reeves, that tend to explode violently every time a film is being made. However when used in an on-demand system there is no storage of hydrogen and oxygen in its gas form, only liquid (water) and is only transformed into gas “on-demand” in small cylinder size amounts. It’s actually safer then gasoline as it doesn’t evaporate, creating explosive fumes in the tank like gas. the following were actually taken out of my $5 guide available at www agua-luna com

    Chemically

    1. You’ll need a 6inch x 1ft schedule 40 pvc pipe. With pvc cement glue a cap on the bottom and use a s***w on cap for the top. Drill a small hole (1/4inch or so) in the side close to the top, s******g in a small copper shut off valve. Place a few feet of stranded (food grade is good) flex hose to the valve and into the air intake of your engine (carburetor or fuel injections).

    2. Now crunch up a couple aluminum cans (beer cans, soda cans etc) and drop them into the pvc pipe, along with a couple cups of lye (Red Devil drain opener has lye in it, some Clorox and Drano’s do to).

    3. Then simply add water, s***w on the top and wait a few minutes.

    What happens in simplicity is that aluminum and lye don’t really get along so they battle, and as always the innocent civilians (water H2O) that the most casualties, by giving up its hydrogen and oxygen. This then builds up in the void of the pipe and is ready to be vented into your engine, by opening the valve. You may need to start your engine on gas then switch it off after the hydrogen starts burning.

    Electrical is a bit easier then Chemically.

    1. Simply take a small solar panel 1.5 amps is what I use ($9 at harborfreight.com), connect the 2 wires from the panel +- to 2 conductors (carbon cores of batteries work well, just be careful removing it from the jacket), but any conductive material will work ie. Copper, aluminum, steel, etc.

    2. Drop the wires into a water tank (I use 55gal drums), make sure they don’t touch each other.

    3. Drill a small hole (1/4inch or so) in the side close to the top, s******g in a small copper shut off valve. Place a few feet of stranded (food grade is good) flex hose to the valve and into the air intake of your engine (carburetor or fuel injections).

    4. Then simply add water, s***w on the top cap and wait.

    After a few hours tiny bubbles will form and rise off one conductor (that’s hydrogen) and even smaller bubbles that just looks like foam will rise off the other (oxygen). I don’t remember which likes the positive and which likes the neg hydrogen or the oxygen.

at this point, the only practical methods to make the fuel for alternatively powered vehicles uses power from oil and/or coal.

for examply, hydrogen gas is separated from oxygen in H2O in a process called hydrolosis, which requires electricity, often generated by burning fossil fuels, which release CO2 anyway.

Plus, most of these vehicles cant break 60mph- do you seriously think Americans will give up V-6 engines. Personally, I love my V-8, 300 hp... Thats American- thats why.

All I OFFER IS THE TRUTH and America isn't ready to here it along with some of my own opinions and calculations that I fully state in each of the paragraphs talked about but this information is real and all backed up to make my opinions at the bottom check it out! you can also find out about all these topics all over the net .

Truth and fact!

As soon as the public knows of alternatives fuels the oil co's  produce adds that make the new fuels to look expensive it's a working plain to fool Americans in the stall to change. Hydrogen is not expensive to make and there are lots of environmentally safe ways to make it they are tricking the public by paying for

tv shows, news papers and magazine adds!  

American car co's are making billions on auto parts, manufacturing rights, loans, and service contracts

THATS THE REAL BUSINESS,

NOT BUILDING AUTOMOBILES !! They lose money in selling cars, the profit margin in an auto is about $2,500 each new car, but with warranty's of 3 years or 3600k miles and dealer kick backs there is negative profit and besides that the development of a new car costs about 20 million for just a prototype, then you have to set up your plaints to put the cars in mass production, advertisements and that can cost more then a billion dollars, all the workers, factory's and machinery. So the car company's are already in the red before mass production of a new model, thats why the big three make the same platform for different models to save in costs and produce the parts in other country s like Mexico.

America is behind in it's on rode technology compared to Europe, Japan, Pakistan, India and other country s in mass production autos,  we build more cars and the business is good for car auto makers but the US shares with Japan first and second in the developments of new technology's .

So why is that ? HHmmmm car company's have plains for production and charts on how to make money in a long term economy for the US that has bin in place since the seventy's, now that it has grown it's out of control they will change their thinking in a recession since people can't afford to buy cars. The auto makers changed in the last recession in the mid 80's and through the 90's and figured how to sell more service buy making people go to the dealers to have service though onbord computer rights to their product but the government saw this coming and passed a law for the universal code reeding port in all cars in America the obd2 connector port, to stop non market sharing. Top of the line generic scan tools like (snap on) only  do basic functions, pull codes and scan engine performance they can't get in to much of the data base of your cars PCM , only the car dealers can do that  with their own special scan tools also they developed a more often service interval recommendation. Recently Hyundai, Dodge have bin offering a 100k mile warranty to get people to buy more cars and in the theory that people will get use to taking their car for service at dealers, to make other outside small business's shut down that do service to cars under 15 years old and give the customers dealer trust back.

I believe that ethanol, is ok with the auto makers but I think that they still get that check from oil co's since oil reservs are depleating and the envienment is at jepedy we need a diferent fule but ethenal takes alot of proses to make.

The president says that we can grow corn fields in the US,  corn is expensive and crops are a bad investment for our future demands to be based on the wether

UNLESS YOU GROW IN IRAC SO TO SPEEK.

I could be wrong but ethanol and fule cell hybrids sounds like the stall I was talking about earlier but in a different way.

I also think that hydrogen is the best alternative at this time for the conversion the environment but the patents and rights to the best inventions are not yet contracted and are still in development of the fuel cell and opposing the water drips to warranty's will be another twist. Nuculer is a no briner, that sound dangerous in the public hands and for the by products.

The electric car EV will be the next future transition  0-20 years not that we don't have the tech it's here it's that the car company's don't see profit in electric cars and independents have along way to go to compete , they don't brake and they don't have as many parts especially maintenance items .

2001 EV1 GM's big cover up never needed any heavy service only tires and brakes changing them at twice the life of non hybrid cars they did have a technology issue with the lead acid batteries but a successful well known inventor in Detroit developed a new  battery for GM to install in 1997

nickel metal hydride on a bigger scale and the cars were fine from that point on they were replaced by GM and expected to out live the car, shortly after TEXACO / CHEVRON bought all the controlling shares to the inventors co. from GM

The EV1 was a good fast little car that could accommodate for 90% of the population I actually saw and touched one at the dealer when I was a auto mechanic in Maryland1997 the GM guy told us a little about the car showed us how it charged it looked really space shipy at that time, the inside was like a corvette but out side looked cool in the front but weird in the back the back tires were in set, we were told that this was the prototype of the future and they had alredy bin selling them in the west. The TOY prius is a almost EVin mockery of GM's.

They crush 1016 out of 10117 including the one I touched at the end of the lease with no renewals to the lease or option to buy the cars, a group of EV owners wanted to save the world and the electric car in California and put together 1.9millon  for GM to let them keep the remaining cars, GM refused the offer. The other car co's then followed the same way with there EV's (crushed). why? do the oil co's have something to do with this I think it's the betrayal of the government in 2003 the zero emissions act in California was passed making the car co's produce 2% of the cars sold in cali. zero emissions vehicles or they can't sell auto's in cali., GM Chrysler and some dealers sewed the state of California along with

president (((GORGE W. BUSH))) who also sewed cali. for this mandate to be abolished. ( BIG TIME CONSPIRACY )

I couldn't believe this ether but it's true then the mandate was broken . Since 2005 the Oil co's have bin buying up all of the new technology , batt. cell co's to corner the future market.

I suspect that the oil co's have bin saving co's like GM since 1990's to do the same thing corner the car market.

Ever since GM decided to build A new co. Saturn 1990 GM  has bin in total collapse of the their empire!  (HOW HAVE THEY LASTED LOSING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS A YEAR)

The U.S.A  is the highest contributer to green house gases to the ozone in the world with a level of almost twice the highest  G.H.G contributing country s. our government protects the car co's to get payoffs some how I can't prove that but they do, it just makes cents. And the scientists and inventors get killed for their inventions , we have had the technology's to run cars with hydrogen since 1940 which turns back to water, we have had the electric car since 1890's. There is so much in alternative fuels and new technology's like magnetic power generators that will be the future of all our power sources in I podict 40-50 years and we have the tech now imagine absolutely free energy for 400 years of magnetic ability along with stable yearly maintenance to moving parts like bearings, we don't need to pay for power from any man made plaints they just want you to believe that we need the government to provide energy because there is tax to pay, this is the past now welcome to a peek from the window of the future

Right now the alternatives are more expensive then gasoline, or are much less convenient.

Look at bio-diesel for example, cooking oil bulk cost about $2.00 per gallon, if memory servers me, add to that the cost of converting cooking oil into bio-diesel plus transportation cost, and a small profit and it costs more then plain old diesel.

Ethanol very expensive, uses food for fuel, something I have a problem with. Must be transported by truck. And you still use a lot of oil to produce it, almost 1 for 1 energy wise.

Batteries are very expensive, and all you’re really doing is moving the pollution from one place to another (but it’s is easier to clean it up). Add the charge time, limited range (which gets worse when you add heat, lights, etc) and you have something most people aren’t willing to put up with.

Hydrogen, expensive to produce, no infrastructure. You would need to spend billions of dollars setting up the filling stations, and companies are going to do that until there are a lot of hydrogen powered cars on the road, and you won’t see hydrogen cars on the road until there are filling stations all over the place.

But it’s not all bad, there are some alternatives that have a good chance, look at the air powered car out of India. True like batteries you’re moving the pollution from one place to another with the same benefit, but unlike batteries you have a short recharge time giving it the same range as a gasoline engine. The infrastructure will be relatively cheap to set up. Most stations have space for a compressor, and could sell both compressed air and gasoline for a modest cost. Also if I understand correctly you can use low pressure air to charge the high pressure tank, they use the low pressure to run a compressor to fill the tank, again if I understood correctly.

There is also companies working on algae oil, which would be much cheaper then current bulk oils so the price of bio-diesel go down with the plus of making the US energy independent.

Basically you’re at the beginning of alternatives fuel, not the end and like most things it’s going to take a little time to figure out what’s going to work and what’s not.

We don't use alternative fuels because they are currently more expensive than petrol and diesel,

That situation will change as the reserves of petroleum are reduced while demand for them increases.This will coutinue to exert an upward pressure on petroleum price.

The price gap may well be reduced by developing cheaper sources of biomass, improved technology in alternative fuel production and the efficiencies of mass production.

I agree with you, we should be using it- the problem is that its expensive and some people like me cant really afford that stuff. There is a new car called the hybrid that doenst pollute so much but its expensive. I think they should lower the prices of things that actually help the world. Have you ever noticed that? We just promote being unhealthy! Vegetables and fruit are OD expensive and then things like cookies and beer and things that get you sick are not!

   We should fight whoever makes those prices!

You know why doesn't the gov do a lot of things its all about money. (Well they got us in a fine pickle..) The big COM.

they don't understand we need other alternatives. We live in SO TX way south. Nothing but open open country. The wind blows 24 7. We could harvest wind off the gulf and in the empty space. Wind farms are needed but the bird people say NO NO NO .. The birds will fly into them and die.

Maybe some might. But its a moving object.. I think they would stay clear for the most part. I must say conservation should really start at home!

It's called price point once the gas prices are so painful the alternatives will look more attractive.  You have to remember if you already own a car that only runs on gas to switch to ethanol or electric mean purchasing a new car and the new fuel.  The fuel also has to be readily available, I mean would you want to drive 20 miles out of your way to get some obscure fuel when you can get gas on every street corner.

Well, I think that that would be too much of a change for other people. For instance hybrids. You have to re-charge you hybrid but, I think you are right that we, the people need to preserve what we have for fuel and start using hybrids or hydrogen.
