  1. There is absolutely a maximum.  This applies to animals.  Since humans are smart, we are able to work together to minimize the competition for resources.  The result is a population that grows exponentially.  However, as resources continue to diminish and the population continues to grow, we are approaching a point where we would either need to change our system or run out of resources.  One word: gasoline.

  2. There is a max. capacity but no one knows what that is with regards to humans because its more than availability of land to live on, it goes to arable or farm-able land and water resources.  I would say as long as we implement the Triple Bottom Line and the Precautionary principle we have a long way to go.  The trouble is politics; borders and international boundaries are what will make the Earth's capacity to hold its max. amount of people limited because the world's governments are not united...heck they don't even agree that often.

The max. capacity is also known as carrying capacity...just remembered that...sorry!

  3. thats crazy. our job is to populate the earth. as long as there is room . we should fill it up

  4. I live in Iceland which is a huge island with only 300,000 people living on it. Need space. Don´t let the name scare you, it´s not that cold. Just come on over.

  5. yes we already almost run out of resources like coals and fossil fuel. When the human population reach to a certain point that it's hard to manage, the goverment will restrict people's freedom. For example, China has over a billion people and a very limited resource so they restricted people from having too many children. Even in the U.s, just the matter of time before you'll see that people's freedom will be slowly taken away.

  6. The earth is a finite size with a finite capacity for producing food and finite natural resources. Of course we will reach a point at which a constantly growing population will exceed the ability of the planet to support it.

  7. i think by the time this poses a real problem we'll have moved to a different planet where we will plant our genetically modified plants and let our GM animals roam free.

thats why messing with genes is a good idea, to create plants and animals that can survive on what we see as 'inhospitable'

everything always works out in the end :D

  8. Did you know that the population of the plent can stand, shoulder to shoulder on the Isle of White?

Yup, there is plenty of room..

  9. Give this advise to Singapore Government. They want their citizen to give birth to more children when they only have limited space and limited resources.

  10. The trouble is that the UK is massively over populated.  its because of all the assyulm seekers, poles and muslims.  Send them home and then there would be room.  I do hate people who dont work and have like seven children just to get more money.
