If people love the aroma of garlic permeating in the house when cooking, why don't they like garlic breath?

because a belch usually follows... and it smells different mixed with saliva... and all those other odors coming up from the stomach

Because your breath produces a different smell as opposed to the house... our body absorbs the taste and produces something that mixes with our own bodily chemicles and its not a nice smell... you cant tell that a person has eaten garlic or onions... its just a raw smell. but when you walk into someones house u can tell that they cooked with it coz the house doesnt produce chemicles that mix with the odour... chemicles is not the right word but I dont know what else it is called and this is a theory...
