If people say never to accept rides from strangers why do we call taxis? how can u be sure a taxi driver wont?

i guess dont get in an unmarked cab but i think id trust a cabbie over a cop cuse if you get hurt the cabbie will get more time

Well, hopefully you are dealing with a reputable taxi company, so the driver really isn't  a "stranger".  Kind of like how we give our credit card to a clerk at a store because it's a reputable store that we trust.

I never thought of it that way I guess you just have to hope that nothing happens from that taxi driver.

You can never be sure.  .. its just trust in someone you dont even know.
