If pet rats can't get their eyes n ears, how do they swim?

when people bathe their pet rats, they say their eyes and ears can't get in the water, then how do they swim?

  1. same as most answers:  they keep thier heads above water wen they swim.  

    And when you bathe a rat, you dont want the head to get wet because when they are involuntarily being put into water, or under a stream of water (faucet), it is more likely that they can get water in thier ears, and possibly cause an infection.  And if they get soapy water in thier eyes, then it burns and irritates thier eyes, just like what happens when we humans get soapy water in our eyes.


  2. People don't bathe rodents like they would a cat or a dog. The best way to do it is to use a special pet wipe or a damp washcloth with some pet shampoo on it.
