If plastic containers that have a number 3 or 6 inside the triangle symbol are known to leach toxins into food

then why aren't these containers made illegal to use for food products by the fda or some other regulatory agency? for example Cup of noodles containers- which many people eat are in a container with a code of #6 , and all the cups in the

hospital I work in are coded with a number 6.

I am just wondering why it is okay to poison the food and water supply?

I think the biggest problem is where they are microwaved that the toxins are released for storage/freezing or mixing hot water they are relatively safe

For some reason (probably because they are little more than a clearing house for big business) the FDA thinks they can put maximums on poisons rather than simply banning them. There is also a maximum rat hair content in sausages, etc. Recent research shows that level *below* a certain threshold are actually more dangerous, because the immune system does not respond. Big business and bad science.
