The NRA and Cons keep telling us that more guns are the answer to gun violence. They say "guns don't kill people, people kill people".
But the fact is that people with guns kill more people than they would if they didn't have guns, and had to use knives or baseball bats or lawnmowers.
As for cars, which do kill a lot of people, (I know this comparison is coming); the primary purpose of cars is transportation. Misused, a car can kill, yes. Likewise, accidents happen.
But the primary purpose of a gun IS to end life.
Let me add I respect the right to hunt for food. (I don't consider it a "sport", but whatever).
Is it worth the risk of MORE people owning guns and MORE innocent people dying because of it?
Why does the NRA believe that MORE guns are the answer to ending gun violence?
