If pornography is destructive to the imagination...?

If pornography is destructive to the imagination, then by be watching it we lessen the possibility to come to additional truths, since the the imagination is needed in order for the intellect to come to an understanding of what a thing is. What do think? Please, address this issue. The issue is not whether you like pornography. The issue is not whether pornography is pleasurable. The questionable premise is whether or not pornography is indeed destructive to the imagination. Arguments please.

Based on your actual question, then I don't believe it is or could be 'destructive' to the imagination.  The proof is simply to watch a stick movie or to look at some pictures.....afterwards.... can you still imagine anything else?  Yes, so then the imagination is still in tact.  If anything, p**n has added another thing for your imagination to conjure up; whether that is a good or bad thing is neither here nor there for the purposes of this question.

It may be destructive to other aspects of your life but that is not the question.

No not at all destructive. It exercises our minds.. It creates fantasies of our own. We imagine the endless possibilities of sexual encounters.

The individuals who find pleasure in child molestation and rape destroy lives. It does not destroy the imagination.

Pornography kills one's imagination, intellect and wellbeing. Porno materials foment abuse, violence, hatred, lying, envy, rape, infidelity and  compulsiveness. Among people who are addicted to watching think homosexuality, bestiality, necrophilia, pedophilia and all kinds of perversion and sexual deviation as normal. To some extent, such those bad stuff  is responsible for lowering male libido.

Pornography is defiantly pleasurable and there are people who think it evil. That is prudish I believe.

The issue with p**n is that it becomes addictive for addictive personality es and can defiantly distract from the personal s*x life between the partners.

Also some who watch p**n feel guilt and that becomes counter productive.

p**n is not destructive to the imagination but it can take precedence over naturally functioning sexually.

Of course it's not.  Pornography is simply another art form.  Like all art forms, it has it's opponents and proponents.  But it's an art form nonetheless.  And all art forms evoke imagination.
