  1. I think the government has no business telling people what to do with their bodies.

Pornography though, is considered a protected art form by the US Supreme Court.

  2. It doesnt spread AIDS

  3. That is a valid question.

By the way, isn''t any form of relationship prostitution?  You pay for s*x one way or another, right?

  4. In most places it is, if you like prostitution, Reno is a place you'd find

    sanctuary!

  5. You know, George Carlin did something funny similar to the subject year ago.  He pondered why s*x for money was illegal by s*x without money was legal?  On to the question, I honestly can figure out the difference between prostitution and pornography.

  6. No it's not the same.  Going to bed with a book is not illegal.

  7. Prostitution is a lot more likely to spread disease.  In some porno flicks they even use condoms.

  8. How about this fact scenario: If a person goes to another person of legal age to consent and states: I will rent you an apartment for six months, I will lease you a car, and supply you spending monies for the six months in exchange you will be my friend with special benefits that’s kosher but the poor person who goes to pay for one encounter is arrested for prostitution

  9. If it's for commercial expression, it's protected by free speech. The government is limited by the constitution in the extent they can illegalize it, unlike prostitution which is not an expression, so there is greater freedom to regulate it.

(Note, the government can illegalize pornography in some situations, but there are limits on the extent they can do that due to the 1st amendment)

  10. it is democratic liberalism that has distorted the constitution...ie... what falls under the freedom of speech etc...abortion...etc...total disregard for moral Values.... while it is the physical adultery in prostitution ....Pornography ...has invaded the internet ...also onto our TVs and more and more you find it on prime time or within the hours young people watch tv.....s*x SELLS  that's there Motto....it just helps more & more people slip further into decadence...affairs or one night stands almost seem to be expected ....s*x is normal, with either partner... why fight it......It's very very sad....and out of control...

  11. Agreed, both should be legal.  Explain me this: why is using your body for money as, say a ditch digger, any different than using your body in other ways?

    It's not, is the answer.

If the basis of the prostitution laws were really about saving women, stopping disease etc (it isn't, it's a moral issue), then address THOSE problems, not the act itself.  We don't ban factory work because it causes injuries of diseases, we enact legislation that governs how, where, and with what safety equipment the work may be carried out.  We do not ban major sports because they cause young children to be abused or exploited, then cast aside at an early age.

I for one don't buy the reasoning.

  12. I don't know, but it often isn't a real person that is being looked at you know.  Prostitution has other bad effects such as:

    1. Destroying marriages

    2. Spreading diseases

    3. Forcible use of underage children for s*x and work

There are probably more.  Pornography is not good, but often it is just for self gratification and nothing else--unless you become obsessed with it as with anything else and it consumes your life.
