Question:

If pursuing a career as a credit analyst, do you major in banking, accounting or finance?

I was looking but I'm not sure. I'm guessing its mostly between banking and finance.

  2. Either or either. You can major in any of the 3 and they are quite related. It's pretty much impossible to take any of the concentrations without studing the other 2 anyway. For example if you took a program in accounting, you'd have to take finance courses and vice versa.

    Accounting is a little more accounting focused. The banking and finance route is a more money-focused.

  3. Actually, neither.  All it takes is being a good salesman.  I've been in this business for 32 years and have never got beyond the 11th grade.  Now I am the CEO of Orange Community Bank.

  4. Any one of the 3 would be good, but finance would be your best option. But always check with your college advisor to see what the best route is for YOU.
