  1. Pushing up a ramp because you are traveling a longer distance thus spreading out the force exerted by the body to do the work of moving the box from point a to point b.


  2. well it deppends the surface u r pushing the box if it is an inclined slope it is eassier to push but if there are stairs and turf surfaces it will be worth it to carry the box

    if you can use say 1 pound of force to move a box a foot, with friction added in then you used a 1 footpound

    if the box weighs more than a pound and you pick it up a foot then you've used more than a footpound.

    so in answer I'd say since the cooefficient of friction is always lower than the weight ....

    it's always easier to push
