...admit their inexperience? After all, it seems that all the problems America is facing are caused by those who are "experienced", so wouldn't it be better to tout your inexperience rather than be ashamed of it? What do you think?

  1. no.  They both have too much pride.

  2. well... it's funny... no one wants a green-horn who's clueless... but no one wants a Washington insider either...

we want our cake and to eat it too...

  3. Inexperience is seen as a negative when you're talking about executive leadership of this country.  Personally, it's ideas that matter to me.  There's plenty of delegation of powers once you're president, plenty of advisors.  It's the decisions that are made once the person is in power that are important.  My political views are mostly libertarian, so that precludes me from voting for Obama or most any Dem because of their socialist policies, and Obama is one of the most socialist of the party.  Palin has a history of fighting corruption and cutting government spending in Alaska, so I definitely like that.  Either way, it's interesting how the YA poltical discussion has become Obama vs Palin rather than Obama vs McCain or Biden vs Palin.

  4. I've never seen Palin ashamed of her experience.  In fact, she stands up to critics rather well.

  5. Palin hasn't had a chance, and Obama has been stressing that judgement matters more than experience.

Palin is just now introducing herself, give her some time to get around to spinning like the rest of them.  She'll get to it, I promise.

  6. If you are talking about nothing but "change" it would be nice if you had a clue how to do it. Give a few details about anything. Come on, I even ask my lawn guy if he has any experience.

  7. I suspect that most Americans want change - but in the right direction.

Inexperience might well be a change - much like driving off a cliff is certainly a change from staying between the lines in the highway.

  8. wow i cant really believe you asked this question.

if you begin to admit your experience you become vulnerable to the public. america would rather listen to a guy that is confident about his vision for the future than one who seems unfit to be in a position to run the country.  which would you rather hear

"here are my accomplishments and my vision for the future of this country"

    or

"here is my vision for the country but i might not be able to handle the job at hand"

    you decide
