Something tells me Obama meant for those Wrights remarks to leak out. So that the whole race issue will be overblown, to get people talking about it and to vote out of guilt.

If u want to manipulate someone to do something, make them feel guilty about something, even if it has nothing to do with the issues involved. If someone feels guilty they can be more easily manipulated.

  1. race just like gender, religion, colour of the skin- all matter. And it matters more to the person at the higher end of the spectrum. They either feel manipulated or coherced, stepping down so to speak. Just like  when a woman says gender does not matter she may mean it,unlike a man who may feel manipulated.

  2. Only an innocent lamb would say race DOESN'T matter.

What most people who think about it feel is, race SHOULDN"T matter.

    Cheers :-)

  3. Obama's camp may have leaked those remarks. Up until Wright's comments became public, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were questioning if Obama was "black" enough. I haven't heard anyone questioning Obama's blackness since Wrights remarks came out.

No, I cannot prove it, just the way the timeline went.

  4. could be because of the same reason you raised the question; why are you concerned about it?

    mostly its a peer issue,

  5. It may be part of it.  What I find baffling is many talking as though he is a black man and is able to be empathetic to blacks who have suffered as a result of their poor economics.  Yet, he has a white mother and was raised upper middle class.
