  1. Yes.

    You can move out early, but that would be your choice.

    You are still responsible to pay the rent through the very last day of the notice.


  2. Once you have been evicted, you do not have to pay rent. But if your landlord can not rent your apartment, they can take you to court for the remainder of your lease, or the remainder until they rented it. So unless you have a judgement to pay, you do not have to pay.

  3. Of course you still have to pay.  What makes you think you can live there for free???

  4. Ms. MD is incorrect, this is not an eviction, but the end of a lease that is not going  to be renewed.

    You pay rent for the months that you are there and you are not expected to leave in the middle of the month, but at the end.

    This is not an eviction, it will not appear as a judgement on your credit report.

  5. It depends on what is written in your tenancy agreement. If this is what was agreed then yes.

    It's usually one month notice though...
