It's just such a double standard.

If people say they dont trust the judgement of an atheist because of their lack of belief in God then its bigoted and horrible, but if an atheist said they dont trust the judgement of a person that believes in creation then its perfectly ok.

Do any of you see the double standard?

Does any of this really matter on issues of taxes or border control or military, you know real issues of the fed gvt?

Is anyone willing to admit they just want to use this creation excuse as a way to play dirty politics that they would condemn on the other side if they did it?

  1. Because they can!  They are going to try to find anything that could bring her down.   But the more they try, the worse they are going to look.  She will look all the better!

  2. I'm not an atheist, but perhaps they consider homophobia to be immoral?  Since Ms. Palin is a known anti-g*y activist, they (and all decent Americans) should speak up against her anti-g*y agenda.  Do we want a President and Vice President who will recruit our children into the anti-g*y lifestyle or do we want an administration who will take care of the real problems in our country?

  3. The Religious Reich have made modern politics all about Religion, one of the key factors in this election is whether a candidate is "Christian Enough", and it's not the atheists who raised the issue.  When one side attacks the patriotism and honor of another because they don't go to the same Church, as has been done by Christians to Obama, they have forfeited any right to complain when they are insulted back.

  4. I haven't heard any atheists use that against her.  Do you mean in this forum?  I just logged on.  But my friends and I, who are all atheists and all politically minded, just sat up last night with a few pitchers of margaritas discussing Palin's many short comings, and I assure you, her religion was never brought up once.

  5. Not really.  On a whole Christians make decisiopns based on their religion.  Someone who does not have a religion would not think with their religion, and therefor be more objective.

    Supposedly
