  1. Let's suppose Rafa wins Cincy. Then he becomes #1 on Monday. If Federer wins gold in Beijing, he earns 400 points. But at the same time, he's going to lose 850 points from last year. Nadal is only losing like 150 from last year. So the answer to your question is NO. Nothing Federer does in the Olympics can help him regain the #1. He needs to pick up his game.

  2. not before the US Open, nadal will still be number one no matter what the results are at the olympics but federer can still end up as #1 if he defends everything he won last year and rafa doesn't gain many points from here to the end of the year

  3. It's nothing Fed can do now but I feel like he may regain his number one status.  He won't be that far behind Nadal.  Who knows.

  4. Nadal lost at semifinals in Cincinnati.

Olympics have no weight on the ATP Rankings.

Nadal will claim #1 on August 18th.

  5. I would think so.

  6. sorry dude its over, Nadal is number 1. NOTHING is going to change that. we just have to wait for a couple of weeks but its gonna happen
