  1. B

  2. Lol ... I like Winnie's answer ... good sense of humor.  Let's change the house to a boat ....

Well, you know that  it will take less than 4 hours, because Sally could do it alone in 4 hours.

In one hour they will paint 1/4 + 1/6 of the boat, or 5/12 of the boat.

In two hours they will paint 10/12 of the boat, or 5/6 of it, so there would be 1/6 left to paint.

If they painted 5/6 in 2 hours, or 120 minutes, then they could paint 1/6 of it in 24 minutes (120 divided by 5).

So they could paint the whole boat in 2 hours and 24 minutes.

My brain cannot figure out how to do that as an equation or formula, especially if it is a sailboat.

  3. let us know when they return from their boating cruise. are youlost?

  4. 4 hours for sally and 6 hours for john. .

    Its simple 3hours 12 min.

Thats means 4 is propostion to A and B th is 6 so increase in days of ones work is 1/4 and B is 1/6

    compute with that propostion
