  1. They carry snake ladders with them just in case they need to climb.

  2. Little story

25 years or so ago when we first moved to the pocono mts we moved into an adjoining villiage in a house right next to a 5 acre undeveloped lot/field...a few years later we found our little log cabin in the woods and moved out of the "big" house...the big house was sold to another family and 6 months later a lumber yard purchased that 5 acre lot next to the "big" house we had rented..3 or four months after the lumber yard had razed the  5 acre lot...dozed it flat and started building we noticed that the "big" house was vacant and up for sale again...

    we talked to the owners...

it seems that as soon as the lumber yard started its clearing and building that "things"...critters...started moving into the "big" house...mice, chipmunks...all sort of little critters...and snakes.  (they may have been following the food chain) Rattlesnakes...copperheads..gardner...gr... it they found them  IN the house...ON the basement stairs...even BETWEEN the sheets in one of he bedrooms...real horror story

    needless they moved out

this is true story...so I'd say a yes to your question.
