If some people in New Orleans stay put - What will the city do -change their tune or play the blame game?

New Orlean's emergency preparedness director has already said - Anyone that stays is responsible for themselves and their loved ones

Plus the police are locking the Super dome and saying anyone that stays are on their own.

Isn't that just asking for a lawsuit or bad press or being labeled cruel-crassy & uncaring.

no all theyre saying is that if you stay there theyre not responsible and thats your decision to put yourself in danger.as far as the superdome its probably cuz they dont wanna have to deal with or be responsible for all the crazy **** that went on there.basically saying New Orleans is not safe they not responsible.individual people cant really sue the city or the government the only thing the government can do is give the city money for better levee systems

The city of New Orleans has 700 buses to take all the people out.  If you are dumb enough to stay, then so be it.  There will be not law suits because they have give them a way out and finding them a place to stay out of harms way.  What else can the city do????

Under the guild line, when they say mandatory than mean to leave.

But the lines for help after will still be long,  cause all the street people from other place will flock there to get all the free stuff.

No, it's being cautious and conducting their storm preparedness by telling people the truth so they can make plans to evacuate.

The people of New Orleans should evacuate as soon as possible. Those without funds, senior citizens, those with disabilities should be placed in building that will able to stand a hurricane four or five winds.

some stay because they know their neighbor plans to rob them if they leave. Kind of an open housing law type thing

the people from the first storm should of left the city but they didnt becuase its the big easu man aint no storm gonna hit here......and they will do the same for this storm and again there will be people crying on tv for help and saying bush hates blacks and no one cares bs.....i say if you see a cat 5 storm coming dont be dumb like you are and get the f--- out of town.

This is the United States of America. Not some police state. We the people are allowed to make our own decisions. But take heart, we are marching steadily toward communism where these things will no longer be out choice.
