  1. 1,reasure them it is NOT there fault.

2, Make sure the appropriate people are informed  (parents, police) either the person who has been abused tells them or i would ask if they wanted me to tell them.

  2. Don't ask any leading questions as this may make the "victim's" evidence inadmissable in court.

Keep calm and write down everything word for word immediately after the event, so that you don't forget.  No emotions just fact.

Also - if you are in a position of authority e.g. working with kids, you must pass the information onto your line manager, who will deal with the situation according to company protocol.  All agencies which work with children and young people should have a Child Protection policy in place.

  3. firstly reassure that person, make them realise it is not there fault

secondly, get them to see some one in authority who can help them. i e your doctor, the police or social services are a good start. this did happen to my daughter and when she confided in me i hope i gave her all the help i could. the police do believe you in this day and age and you can get help, the man that abused my daughter went to prison.
