  1. i dont think so, im bipolar and i cant really control it. when i get  a mood swing, and i get mad, its like jumping off a swing.  once you start, you cant stop.  they get yelled at and ignored for the tiniest thing, and i dont feel any better.


  2. Bipolar mood swings aren't like being moody.  The person is at least a little, if not a lot, out of control.  If I am mildly manic, I have some control and can avoid overly acting out.  If I am manic, it doesn't mean much who the other person is.

    The important question for you is whether the person with bipolar is on meds and serious about managing the illness or not.  Ppl who actively manage the illness live pretty normal lives and don't act on anyone anymore than anyone else.
