If someone calls my cell phone (Verizon) from Japan, will I be charged extra -- more than regular minutes?

I know I get charged for placing an international call from my cell phone, but if someone calls me from overseas do I get charged extra? On a landline, this wouldn't be an issue...but I wanted to know if it is different than receiving regular calls on my cell.

  1. If you are RECEIVING a call, your network essentially doesn't care where the call comes from.  It's the caller's carrier that's responsible for making the connection to the U.S. carrier, and it's the caller who pays an applicable fees or charges for the process.  The only think you will do is use minutes, as you would for any other call.
