Actually this happened to me so I know.

I was in the Signal Corps in Fort Gordon Georgia and one of my fellow troops came up behind me and pushed on me for a joke.

Well, I was a little irritable that day, and I had been practicing Tae-Kwon-do for over a year, so I spun around and kicked him in the groin.

He made this kind of moaning sound and his face showed pain as he slumped to the floor.

A few days later he told me he was going to hire someone to beat the c**p out of me, but he never did.

Anyway, based on my own experience -- yes, I would.
