  1. This is how your question looks to me:

    Jane Anderson marries John Bartholomew.

    John dies, divorces or deserts.

    Jane remarries, to James Davorski.

You only know she used to be Jane Bartholomew. You don't know her maiden name or her new married name.

If that ISN'T the case, please revise your question.

If that IS the case, you probably won't find her on-line. Some marriage records record "current" name, so she would be

Mrs. Jane Anderson Bartholomew married to James Davorski. Most just ask maiden name.

Illinois has marriages 1763 - 1930 on-line, although they are skimpy past 1900. I can send you a link. Without a country and time frame, it is hard to help you. This board gets used to hunt lost children and people who died before 1700. It gets used by Aussies, Brits, Canadians and Yanks. Also others, sometimes.

If you know her high school and year she graduated, and the class has a reunion committee, you could write and ask if anyone knew where Jane who married John Bartholomew was now.

If all you know is her previous married name, though, you are looking for a needle in a haystack, at night.
