If someone has a Brazilian license, can they use it in America?

  1. If you are here for a short while you should be able to get along with a foreign license,  I know you can drive in the US with a British or French license.  Just to be positive check with the AAA, they will definetly be able to give you all in info you need


  2. Yes .  Any valid license will be recognized here.  Better to obtain an international license though simply because it will be able to be read by any law enforcement person

  3. You need a "International Drivers License" (a document that translates your Brazilian license from Portugese into English and other languages) along with your Brazilian licence.  

    You can drive on that for as long as you are allowed to be in the US until either: A) your Brazilian license expires or B) your US visa expires.

  4. You need an international driving permit.
