  1. HI and I have never even heard of this happening. I have five tattoos and I didn't have a problem with any of them except that I fell asleep while getting them. I do not think that any good tattoo artist would use water while tattooing anyone. If they do- avoid them at all costs! Good luck and peace out!

  2. Yes.  The ink is just in the skin it is not like the ink seals your skin closed. Once it is fully healed other than seeing the color you will have no way of knowing you have a tattoo.  Everything feels and works the same, it just has color.

  3. Does water do that when you have a fresh scrape on your arm?

Chances are, tattoo ink is just tattoo ink. Not a portal to a magical world of micro-biology.

  4. No. The ink is inserted into the second layer of your skin (the dermis), just below the first (the epidermis). So really, when you get a tattoo is like a wound which is why you have to clean and take care of it to avoid infection. Just like every other time you've cut yourself or skinned your knee, it will heal and water will not go through the cells.

  5. Haha - No!
