My friend wants to become a crime scene investigator, but he doesn't know if they wont accept him because of his minor offense, by the way he was not convicted of any crimes.

  1. they are bound to know aren't they? but then again he was never convicted of any crimes so it shouldn't be a problem

  2. You still need to list any contact with law enforcement (victim, witness, subject) when you are applying for a job in law enforcement. Law enforcement is still allowed to look at your record even if it is sealed. Places like Target, Macy's, Safeway, are not allowed to look at your Juvenile record. It doesn't matter if he was convicted or not

they still look at what you did, when you did it, how old you were when you did it, and how old you are now, when they make their decision.
