If someone has your name, address, first four digits, and exp. date, can they use your credit card? There is also a chance that this fraud has my last four digits. Do they need the entire 16 digits in order to make illegal purchases with my identity? Or do they only need the first four/first and last four?

  1. Probably not but if you still don't feel good about it,  as suggested cancel the card and put the account on fraud alert for 90 days through Trans Union Fraud Dept. Their toll free # 1-800-680-7289. They will notify the other 2 bureaus for you at no cost. Better to be safe than sorry later.

  2. If they have all that information is best to cancel the account and be in the save side. You dont want to deal with ID Theft.

  3. I think you are safe.  Why not just cancel the card and wait for another and be more careful next time.

  4. They need the entire number.  Unless they are using YOUR computer, which may have stored info.

  5. Yes they need your entire 16 digits plus CVV number for online purchases

you're safe but you need to keep your financial products like this in a much safer way
