If someone i know thats with the att&t service buys the iphone 3g for me, will i still be able to unlock it?

When typing a question do not use the & sign in it as there is a glitch with Yahoo and it causes it to be put in the wrong category.  That is why you are getting silly answers.  She will not be able to just buy an iPhone 3g.  It has to be activated on a new service agreement and everything on an active account at the time of purchase

  3. Most definitely.  Just make sure that the iphone does not get activated with a new number (or any number).  Then you can either do a Google search for unlocking the iphone, or go to someone to do it for you.  These can be found on sites like Craigslist.  Good luck, and enjoy your new iphone!!
