If someone in america calls me will it cost me in england?

If it's landline to landline then no you will not be charged.  However if they are calling you on your mobile then you could very well get charged...it depends on your network so you would have to check with them.

I'd think that unless its a reverse charge (collect) call, it wouldn't cost you anything to receive calls, so long as your phone is registered in the UK (like a BT landline or Vodafone UK etc)
