  1. Depends what type of people they are. Most of the time, though, it would be a good idea to bring some type of home-made food, such as a bean salad or rum cake of some sort. I personally prefer a nice bottle of wine and some nice snacks (Crackers, Ritz) But if it's more casual beer and an appetizer of some sort is good. Hope I helped, could you give me best answer? here are some sites if you need any good ideas..

  2. Its ok to ask if they want you to bring something, also it is in good taste to bring your spouse.

  3. A nice bottle of wine.  Some flowers perhaps but I wouldn't bring any food unless asked.

  4. wine or dessert (pie)

  5. Technically you don't need to bring anything but yourself, but you could check if there is anything the host might like you to bring.  That's gracious. Without asking though a bottle of wine, if they don't drink, a nice high end or organic  sparkling apple cider. Personally I like to bring dessert--a nice homemade something is always great, but a store bought is nothing to sneeze at.  Enjoy!!!

  6. unless you were asked to bring a dish (nothing)

you should always call ahead of time and ask what you can bring and if they say nothing then ask if you can bring a bottle of wine or a dessert? never assume.

  7. A good mood and an appetite! A gift for the host/hostess is nice, too.

  8. I think you would call ahead and either ask what to bring or ask if they would like it if you bring your famous brownies or cheesecake or whatever..

when in doubt I bring flowers but that can be dangerous too if people have allergies or a cat who eats flowers

  9. I ussually bring a wine.....2001 ray's station Merlot... it goes with most meals and it costs about 18 bucks but tastes like a 40 dollar wine or find a nice white..pinot griggio.

If you are not drinkers go with flowers or a box of truffles... as you dont want to interfere with dessert if they already prepared it.

  10. Bring some fresh fruits for all the young & the old to enjoy... Not all can drink wine...

  11. What are their eating habits?  You need to bring food that they will like and will be a good addition to the meal at hand.  Are they into all that is healthy then try hummus with whole wheat crackers!  I would not recommend wine or beer cause I completely abstain form alcohol.  Is it more of a party type of dinner cause then chips and dip would be best.  You can't go wrong with a relish dish.  IF you are to bring something big to the table try a casserole.  Are there going to be kids?  Then bring a box of Little Debbies.  I hope you can use my ideas.

    Have a great meal!

  12. A bottle of wine most likely to complement the meal

  13. A nice bottle of wine would be good, or maybe a dessert.
